Important Information -
You must provide your Player ID to take part in this event. You can assign yourself a number under the 'Play! Pokémon Setting' tab on your pokemon.com account. Make sure to opt-in for participation of Play! Pokémon Programs. Children must be added onto their parents account.
Players must bring their own Nintendo Switch and copy of Pokémon Scarlet or Violet . Power sockets are available for consoles but players are responsible for bringing their own Switch charger.
All Pokémon used must be obtained through legitimate means. This means that 'hacked' Pokémon (including ones traded in) are illegal and could result in a disqualification without refund, even if the Pokémon's stats are within their legal limits. Team checks are carried out to identify illegal Pokémon and are carried out at random.
Team sheets must be completed. There are two almost identical sheets available on the 'rules and resources' page of the Pokémon website. Regular tardiness rules are applied to anyone who fails to hand in their team sheets before the start of the tournament.
This is an officially sanctioned Pokémon event ran by a professor. As always, any foul play will not be tolerated and could result in a ban from all Geek Retreat stores and a ban from all Pokémon events.
Be sure to check the rules for VGC on the Pokémon website and feel free to reach out for more information.
